Mediterranean food, wraps, etc. see my photos posted at the restaurant
I absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and comfortable, the service was excellent and the food! Oh the food was soooo good!
MoreBest Mediterranean street food in San Francisco, hands down. This is the very first place I ate with my new friends the night I moved to San Francisco in 1994 and it blew me away. Try anything that strikes your fancy, it will be delicious. As good today as it was when it opened in 1992. Believe me, a modest-but-tidy, little "hole in the wall" does not remain open for this long by accident!
MoreHad the Chicken Shawerma Wrap with feta and it was absolutely delicious and filling. You have to know the address of this little hole in the wall because it is nearly impossible to see just driving by. Overall the people were nice and genuine, the service was fast and efficient, and the environment was very authentic and welcoming. The flavours in the Shawerma Wrap were full and plentiful and the chicken was very high quality. Note; they only serve the chicken Shawerma on Tuesday and Friday, so don't get your hopes up if you come another day and they don't have any chicken. Go in and try Truly Mediterranean, you'll be back for more in no time!
MoreFavorite Mediterranean spot. They have amazing veggie combo plate.
I used to come here once a week when I worked in the area. The Lamb and chicken swarma are good. Decent size for the price and the meats are seasoned well. Workers are friendly too.
MoreGot the chicken kebab. The chicken was dry and the ratios were way off. Needed more chicken for the amount of cucumber and tomatoes they put in the wrap. The tomatoes were also very lazily cut. They were so big that chunks would come out at a time so all you would get is tomatoes in a bite. The customer service was poor as well.
MoreThis is the best Shawarma I've had in the Bay Area; nearly as good as Mamoun's in NYC (scratches the same itch). Lamb Shawarma is real lamb and comes of flavorful, rich, and tender. Their falafel is excellent as well. Both the wraps and plates are a good value and very filling. If you are in the mood for a quick Mediterranean grab&go, this is your spot! Take-out only though, there is hardly any seating inside.
MoreOne of my favorite Mediterranean places in town. They’re known for their falafel and baba ghanoush.
MoreI love Mediterranean food and I must say, this restaurant was a disappointment.I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and lamb kebab salad. The shawarma sauce was watery and the amount of garlic was overwhelming. The garlic sauce took away from other ingredients in the wrap. The meat was overcooked in both the chicken shawarma wrap and lamb kebab. The pita bread was very chewy.
MoreIt's pretty amazing. I don't give 5 stars much but it's 4.5 for sure
Delicious!! Everything is really good. I highly recommend it! Great price and excellent service.
MoreI love their falafel! It's the best falafel wrap I ever had in the city! The owner is super friendly. He will always give two falafel in addition to whatever you order. We all love delicious free food!
MoreAlways good and worth the walk over.
Funny because I was at Sunflower Vietnamese, the original two doors one kitchen restaurant which I love, but Google asks me to rate my experience at Truly Mediterranean, which I love! Oh, Google, how do I love thee?!? Oh, Truly Med, how do I love thee?!? Too much!!!
MoreLoved this tiny restaurant. It certainly lives up to its name. Authentically tasting food at reasonable prices.
MoreOne of my all-time favorite places in the city to pick up mediterranean food. It's not that fancy, but it's perfect when you when to grab a falafel and go. Hungry? Try there middle eastern platter- filled with all your favorites.
MoreSuch a great place with delicious, authentic food! Staff is very kind and friendly. They have the BEST falafel!
MoreExcellent Mediterranean food! Absolutely recommendable here in San Francisco. High quality service and fast service. Best overall experience so far!
MoreVery good schawarma, especially he spicy lamb. Good prices, convenient location and friendly staff.
MoreOne of my fav places for quality Mediterranean food. Service is always awesome even when they have a full house. This place has a cool atmosphere.
MoreAwesome customer service and even better food! Truly Amazing place!
Small shop with great food. Fresh and delicious.
Falafel and feta in lavash bread wrap toasted on the grill... The absolute best in the city. For a great price.
MoreFound this place years ago coming to the Roxie. The most wonderful food, delicious, so savory, and the yogurt garlic drink is the best. Great plates, fantastic falafel, and friendly service. Been coming for 20+ years, and never had a bad meal. Ask if this cuisine is unfamiliar, these guys are helpful.
MorePalestinian food that is so delicious that will knock your socks off. Atmosphere is almost Indescribable, due to very tiny restaurant. Fair prices. Bit of a language barrier. Highly recommend.
MoreOne of my favorite spots for quality mediterranean food. Came here on a Friday I think. The service here is attentive. The place has a good atmosphere.
MoreBest shawarmas in the city and a great choice for grabbing a meal on the way to Dolores park. My personal favorite is the lamb shawarma with eggplant and spicy sauce. So good!
MoreLove this place...best falafels and baba. Staff are the best
Love this small Mediterranean place. Great lamb shawarma, juicy, & flavorful. The falafel is so moist. Price is so affordable. Tiny sitting area.
MoreSo good, best shawarma so far in CA, also good falafel.
The portion could've been bigger though, and there were too many cucumbers! I told him to stop after the first scoop and he added two more! Too bad, they have the best falafel in SF!
MoreThe best and most affordable falafel in the city. I challenge you to find better.
MoreA very nice eat out with 3 spaces to sit. This is more of a Togo place but the food quality is pretty good. At the heart of Valencia, it’s a busy place run by nice people. Anthony Bourdain has had food here and said some kind words. That much say something to you.
MoreMediterranean food, mmm, so tasty. Very tasty. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. It has a cool feel to it. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.
MoreGreat falafel. Soso wraps. Portions used to be way bigger!
Delicious food! A cut above the usual sandwich or burger. Tantalizing, satisfying. My favorite is the Kefta Kabob wrap! Got a good quantity of greens in there, too. The falafel is perfection! The baklava is light and crispy. (Instead of the all-too-common type soaked with goo)
MoreFavorite Mediterranean spot. They have amazing veggie combo plate. Everything is pretty good there. The meet switches and I don't remember the schedule.
MoreBest falafel in the city (and we’ve tried it all over!). Also, if you add a side of feta you basically get a whole huge piece! Generous portions + delicious sides to accompany the kabob platters.
MoreBest falafels, shawarma delicious and the most important is that they make sure the ingredients are fresh.
MoreGood food. OK prices for SF. Not all of the menu is available every day. The all male staff can be weak on English but they are friendly and helpful in their own way.
MoreGood food and nice menu
My favorite shawarma in SF. Both the lamb and chicken shawarma are fantastic, as is the falafel. The sauces they use are incredibly tasty, and it’s a great value at $11 for a quite sizable wrap. Service is friendly and fast. Couldn’t ask for more from a neighborhood joint; I’m there at least once a week for takeout!
MoreI ordered 40 wraps for a lunch today and I'll Never order from this company again! The wraps were not labeled - Falafel, lamb or chicken. That's a big deal so people don't have to unwrap them to find out they can't eat one and pass it to someone else?
MoreThe best kebab I ever had!
Love the variety of food. Very fresh & tasty
Big and tasty deluxe falafel (spicy). Fresh falafel made in house right in front. Friendly staff and falafel maker is a nice guy.
MoreFood was delicious, prices were great, service was very good. I highly recommend it
MoreI have not been to all the Mediterranean restaurants in SF, but I don't think I have to to make this claim: Best falafels in town. I've tried many. This place is a so called 'hole in the wall', but the food is delicious and is prepared fast (unless u order kebab because grilling takes time). I've eaten lunch here once a week for while and I'm still not tired of it.
MoreThe deluxe falafel is freaking delicious
I love this place,Great food many options
